Sometimes discovering the truth can leave you more hopeless than believing the lies...

He terrifies her and captivates her all in the span of one encounter, and something about the way he makes her feel sparks buried memories from a past she wishes could just stay buried.

Sky struggles to keep him at a distance knowing he's nothing but trouble, but Holder insists on learning everything about her. After finally caving to his unwavering pursuit, Sky soon finds that Holder isn't at all who he's been claiming to be. When the secrets he's been keeping are finally revealed, every single facet of Sky's life will change forever.

Add this one to the to-read list as well. I just finished and I gotta say my eyes are killing. Not because of any crying, which surprisingly I didn't do with this book, but because it's really long and I read it in one sitting. Yeah, I know, I should probably get a life but what's the fun in that? Reading is way cooler because I can go anywhere, be anyone, and do anything with just a flip of a page.    In case you don't know this is also the author of another fave book of mine called 'Slammed'. She is amazing and really writes books with depth. Everything means something in them and they are so touching. No the most realistic of the contemporary fiction young adult novels out there but it's still a good read. And like before I had this book mapped out way before the author gave any foreshadowing or hints. Sometimes it would be nice if my brain would turn off so I could just be shocked and surprised by an outcome. Nonetheless it's an awesome book and you should totally go check it out when you get some free time. But like I said, it seemed really long because it took me all day to knock out. Side Note: reading is like a diet because I haven't touched anything since breakfast (10am in my world) and it's already 10pm. So yeah, not only are books way cool and take me on adventures but they make me skinner! Gotta love that, right? But seriously, now that my brain is fried and I am no longer distracted I am going to binge! Commence raiding the fridge...

Why do i do this to myself?

Why do I do this to myself? Both of these authors crawl under my skin! Don't get me wrong, their books are great, but OMG they piss me off to no end! After telling myself over and over again I would not read the second book in the 'Avoiding' series here I am posting a blog about buying it. It just kept staring back at me on amazon just taunting me... ahhh! I'm pretty sure I am going to pull my hair out reading that one because I was nearly bald after the last book. Her characters just make me want to reach into the pages and shake their stupid asses. The the author who wrote, 'Taking Chances' has a new one out that I kept trying to avoid but somehow got sucked into it's tempting little grasp. Both series are a love-hate relationship with me. But, I buy the books, I read the books, I review the books & I blog about the books so that has to mean something right? Both of these books that I am going to link below are the kind that you want to hate but you just secretly love the torment they put you through. Well, wish me luck because I'm biting the bullet and reading them.

From Ashes
by: Molly mcadams

When Cassidy Jameson's best friend Tyler took her to Texas with him when he left for college, she was expecting his cousin, their new roommate, to be a Stetson-wearing cowboy since his family owned a ranch; not this incredibly gorgeous guy with a husky Southern drawl that seemed to make the world stop whenever she looked at him. Because of her past, she's only ever trusted two men in her life, Tyler and her dad whom passed away when she was six. But there's something about Gage that draws her to him in a way she can't explain, only problem? He's always telling Tyler that he doesn't want Cassidy living there and sees her as nothing more than his little sister.

Gage Carson was excited his cousin Tyler was coming to live with, and go to college with him. When he'd called to ask if he could bring his friend Cassi with him, Gage didn't care. Gage had heard about this mysterious friend since they were kids and felt like he already knew her. Nothing would prepare him for watching her jump out of Ty's Jeep though. Not only was Cassi the most beautiful girl he'd ever seen, but there was something about her that within seconds of meeting her, made Gage want to protect her, and make her his. Too bad Tyler made it a point to remind Gage on a daily basis that he was dating her and she was completely off limits.

For a year and a half, Gage and Cassidy dance around their feelings for each other as Tyler continues to keep them apart; until one day Tyler unknowingly pushes her right into Gage's arms. With Tyler unable to keep lying to them, they finally start a relationship both have been craving since their first meeting. But when an accident and disaster sends her back to Tyler and California, will Cassidy be able to come face to face with the demons from her past to live a life she and Gage deserve; or will the fact that she once again ran to Tyler be the final push that ends Cassidy and Gage for good?

The coincidence of callie & kayden
by: jessica sorensen

Picture
There are those who don’t get luck handed to them on a shiny platter, who end up in the wrong place at the wrong time, who don’t get saved.

Luck was not on Callie’s side the day of her twelfth birthday when everything was stolen from her. After it’s all over, she locks up her feelings and vows never to tell anyone what happened. Six years later her painful past consumes her life and most days it’s a struggle just to breathe.

For as long as Kayden can remember, suffering in silence was the only way to survive life. As long as he did what he was told, everything was okay. One night, after making a terrible mistake, it seems like his life might be over. Luck was on his side, though, when Callie coincidentally is in the right place at the right time and saves him.

Now he can’t stop thinking about the girl he saw at school, but never really knew. When he ends up at the same college as Callie, he does everything he can to try to get to know her. But Callie is reserved and closed off. The more he tries to be part of her life, the more he realizes Callie might need to be saved.

(New Adult Contemporary) **Mature Content** Recommended for ages 17+ due to sexual situations and language.

OMG! I can't even begin to tell you how amazing this book is. I've read her Ella & Micha book and didn't think it was all that amazing. As for her other novels, I haven't read them so I wouldn't really know. But this one I did read and this one I will recommend because it blew my mind! Now I will be the first to admit that I tend to figure out things before most do. So nothing shocked me in this book because I did see it before the author made it obvious, but that didn't take away from the book at all. The story of these two characters is beyond heartbreaking. This book will fustrate you, make you fall in love over and over, it will make you laugh and it will make you cry your eyes out. If you don't hit every emotional available then you are broken. Sorry, but it's true. This book just hit a spot in my heart that needed to be reached. Sometimes you just come across those books that make you see life in a total different way and that is how I felt after finishing this book.

You will fall in love with Kayden from the very first time he makes an appearance in the book. Even though Callie is a little odd, she is very reachable when it comes to a character. You might not have been through what she has but you understand her because of it. When her and Kayden begin their relationship it is completely buy-able because they don't just swoon over one another for no apparent reason. They take their time finding each other and growing together. They get scared and they back away and then they run back to each other. It's very "real" and "touching". I think that is why I fell in love with this book so much. They are both the underdogs hiding unexplainable hurt inside but slapping on a brave face for everyone around them. They are really an amazing couple and fantastic characters. I highly suggest you grab this book and read it before starting anything else. It is just, wow!

fallen too far
by: Abbi Glines

Picture
To want what you’re not supposed to have…

She is only nineteen.

She is his new stepfather’s daughter.

She is still naïve and innocent due to spending the last three years taking care of her sick mother.

But for twenty-four year old Rush Finlay, she is the only thing that has ever been off limits. His famous father’s guilt money, his mother’s desperation to win his love, and his charm are the three reasons he has never been told no.

Blaire Wynn left her small farmhouse in Alabama, after her mother passed away, to move in with her father and his new wife in their sprawling beach house along the Florida gulf coast. She isn’t prepared for the lifestyle change and she knows she’ll never fit into this world. Then there is her sexy stepbrother who her father leaves her with for the summer while he runs off to Paris with his wife. Rush is as spoiled as he is gorgeous. He is also getting under her skin. She knows he is anything but good for her and that he’ll never be faithful to anyone. He is jaded and has secrets Blaire knows she may never uncover but even knowing all of that…

Blaire just may have fallen too far.

Abbi Glines has done it again... like always! She just keeps getting better with every book she releases. This is another book that I picked up and read cover to cover in one sitting. It's just that good of a story that you don't want to put it down. I've read all of her other series (for the most part anyways) and this is her newest to be released. It's always fun being introduced to new characters with a completely different comfort zone that you are use to by an author. This is not like any of Abbi Gines other books and I suggest you run and grab it as well and start reading!

Blaire is a sweet-hearted girl just trying her best to overcome the crappy life that she has been dealt. While you will want to hate Rush with a passion, you just simply aren't able to. For some unknown reason the boy will just tug at your heartstrings. Trust me, you will want to knee him in the balls at times! Other times you just want to tell Blaire to kiss him already! It's a very love-hate type of relationship. Again, there is no love triangle or teenage drama attached to this book. While those things are fun, sometimes they can become boring and predictable. This is certainly not a book that is going to put you to sleep while reading it. Once again all of the characters are relatable and the plot is believable. By the end of this book you will be blurry-eyed and begging for more when it leaves you with a giant question mark. The second book can't come out soon enough for my liking. Now, go enjoy!

losing it
by: cora cormack

Picture
Virginity.

Bliss Edwards is about to graduate from college and still has hers. Sick of being the only virgin among her friends, she decides the best way to deal with the problem is to lose it as quickly and simply as possible—a one-night stand. But her plan turns out to be anything but simple when she freaks out and leaves a gorgeous guy alone and naked in her bed with an excuse that no one with half-a-brain would ever believe. And as if if that weren't embarrassing enough, when she arrives for her first class of her last college semester, she recognizes her new theatre professor. She'd left him naked in her bed about 8 hours earlier.

I had been putting this book off for a while now because I was just being to cheap to shell out the few bucks for it. I know, I am cheap! My husband's tightass ways are rubbing off on me. Except when it comes to shoes but lets get back to the book review before I self-incriminate anymore. I am glad that I finally went and got it and pushed it to the top of my to-read list because it was adorable. Again, no teenage love triangle crap and mature young adult content.

It's one of those books that you have to rush out and grab but I would say that it should be something that you read when you get the time. It was funny and heartfelt. I enjoyed the book and who doesn't love a hot british guy? Seriously now, he totally made the book for me. Even though I couldn't do a fake british accent to save my life, I did however find myself reading his parts in one. Somehow, even in it's horrible sounding way, it made Garrick ten times hotter! Garrick, yes Bliss is so right when he names even sounds hot. Oh yeah, and Bliss the girl you will love too. She is just adorable. She's cute and quirky and lovable. There journey together is fun and entertaining. I think it's a great book and would read this author again in a heartbeat.

wallbanger
by: Alice Clayton

Picture

Caroline Reynolds has a fantastic new apartment in San Francisco, a KitchenAid mixer, and no O (and we’re not talking Oprah here, folks). She has a flourishing design career, an office overlooking the bay, a killer zucchini bread recipe, and no O. She has Clive (the best cat ever), great friends, a great rack, and no O.

Adding insult to O-less, since her move, she has an oversexed neighbor with the loudest late-night wallbanging she’s ever heard. Each moan, spank, and--was that a meow?--punctuates the fact that not only is she losing sleep, she still has, yep, you guessed it, no O.

Enter Simon Parker. (No, really, Simon, please enter.) When the wallbanging threatens to literally bounce her out of bed, Caroline, clad in sexual frustration and a pink baby-doll nightie, confronts her heard-but-never-seen neighbor. Their late-night hallway encounter has, well, mixed results. Ahem. With walls this thin, the tension’s gonna be thick...

Come on now, the title of this book will make you ponder buying and the description will seal the deal. Funny! OMG! It has been a while since I read a book and actually laughed out loud at parts. I got a few strange looks and wild comments but totally worth it. From the first paragraph you will be cracking up all the way to the end. Seriously though, the end will make you nearly pee you pants from laughing so hard.

Caroline & Simon will drive you mad with their sexual tension and frustration that builds the whole book. Even Caroline's girlfriend are lovable and quick-witted. This author is totally someone I would love to be friends with. She reminds me so much of myself and some of my closest friends when we get together. Some of the stuff this girl comes up with makes me envious. Like, why couldn't I be that clever?

I haven't read her Readhead Series yet but I do have the first book downloaded. I'm not one to read a series in a row or an author one after another because I do get burnt out and bored easily regardless of the material. So, I am taking some time to finish up my own book and read a few others before I start her other series. But I promise I will keep you updated on that as well because if it is half as funny as this book is then it's still worth blogging about. I am just happy to finally have another set of good books in a row to rate. I really hate reading a book and then not enjoying it and then blogging about it. But, I can't just tell you all the good without warning you of some of the bad. That just wouldn't be fair; plus not everyone has the same taste as me, so I think it's important to shed the light on all that I read.

FALLing

I am about to start writing some more in my book but first I wanted to share a little with my readers. Authors are always posting pictures of how they envision their characters so I figured why not? Since I'm feeling so spunky tonight I thought sharing a little cowboy Harlan and redhead Rosalee wouldn't hurt any. Let me know what you think!!! I know you haven't gotten to meet Harlan from my preview posts but lets just say he is ideal because of course he is fiction and all. Tall, oh so tall... tan, that sun-kissed farmers tan that a man gets from working outside all day long... dark hair that you want to run your fingers through and mess up just cause it makes him that much sexier... then there are the eyes (wont lie: the characters eyes were inspired by my hubby) are the most amazing shade of green - hazel you have every seen. They change colors and when you stare deep into them you get lost looking at all the swirls of gold laced through the browns and greens. Heaven-set, I promise! Oh, and to top it all off add some dusty old boots, wranglers, and a cowboy hat!!! Totally swoon-worthy and if you aren't drooling after that image just wait until you scroll down!

When i think of harlan... i think of...

since his sexy little face is hidden, i think this picture sums it up but still leaves plenty left for the imagination to fill in the blanks
stole this one from a blogger friend of mine - sorry rin but you gotta share when you have something as tasty as he is!

http://zanypnraddict.com/

sprinkle in a little of that
ruggedly raw hotness
(especially that chiseled jaw line)

just a dash of day old stubble that you just want to reach out and rub

A smidgen of abs like those; they used wash boards back in the day, didn't they? yeah, i'd so be into doing laundry if that were still the case :D

the cowboy way - pepper!!!

add in a good dollop of pepper's fun-loving, goofy personality

"if it's got hair, i can ride it. if it's got a beat, i can dance to it"

"it's your call, stubby"

Waiter: "how would you like your steak cooked?"
Pepper: "oh, just knock it's horns off, wipe it's nasty ass
and chunk it right here on this plate"

and it ain't cowboy if you don't throw a dash or two of george in the pot! *that is so Harlan's smile*

At first she's gonna come on strong
Like She'll love you all night long
Like it's going out of style
Then she'll leave you with a smile

Well you can't help but wonder
Why you can't help but love her
But you can't help love her
And all that hurtin' was more than worth it
It's written all over your face

One day you'll pass her on the street
With that guy you used to be
She'll say hello and walk on by
Then she'll leave you with a smile

I knew the stakes were high right from the start.
When she dealt the cards, I bet my heart.
Now I just found a game that I can't play,
And this is where the cowboy rides away.

[Chorus:]
And my heart is sinking like the setting sun,
Setting on the things I wish I'd done.
It's time to say goodbye to yesterday.
This is where the cowboy rides away.

We've been in and out of love and in-between.
And now we play the final showdown scene.
As the credits roll a sad song starts to play,
And this is where the cowboy rides away.

[Chorus:]
And my heart is sinking like a setting sun,
Setting on the things I wish I'd done.
Oh the last goodbye's the hardest one to say,
And this is where the cowboy rides away.

Oh the last goodbye's the hardest one to say.
This is where the cowboy rides away.

I'm not the hero who will always save the day.
Don't always wear the white hat, don't always know the way.
I may not even be the dream you wanted to come true,
But I'll always be the man in love with you.

I'm not the key that opens every door.

I don't have the power to give you all you want and more,
But when you're needin' somethin' special you can hold on to,
I'll always be the man in love with you.

I never could work miracles.

There may be others who can do what I can't do,
But no one else can be as good as me at lovin' you.

So when the world won't turn the way you wish it would,

And the dreams you have don't come alive as often as they should,
Remember that there's someone there whose heart is always true.
I'll always be the man in love with you.

Remember that there's someone there whose heart is always true,

Someone there to help you make it through.
I'll always be the man in love with you.

hello there mr. LeDoux... i do believe that is all harlan's voice i hear when you sing to me... lets throw a good handful of that twangy southern drawl in the batch as well

Well, I never was the kind to wear my feelings on my sleeve
But since I've met you, girl, there's been a world of change in me
Well, I've got to say I love you, hope you like the sound of that
'Cause I can't keep it under this old hat

Under this old hat is the head you turned around
And the heart you stole away, the day we met
Under this old hat's two arms that long to hold you tight
And the boots I'd walk the soles off of to be here by your side
And every night in my prayers, there's just one thing I ask
That the man you love will always be under this old hat

Well, you've got me feeling things that I've never felt before
And it's so good to know when I come a knocking at your door
That of all the men who'd love to waltz across your welcome mat
The one you want is under this old hat

Under this old hat is the head you turned around
And the heart you stole away, the day we met
Under this old hat's two arms that long to hold you tight
And the boots I'd walk the soles off of to be here by your side
And every night in my prayers, there's just one thing I ask
That the man you love will always be under this old hat
That the man you love will always be under this old hat

Just look at you, girl
Standin' here beside me
Starlight on your hair
Lookin' like a dream I dreamed somewhere
And look at me, girl
You got me actin' just like a lover
In an old time picture show
And how I got the part -- I just don't know
But it's written all across your face
Plain as it can be
You're the one that I was lookin' for
Now you're all that I can see

CHORUS:

You mean everything to me
And I'd do anything to have you stay forever
I'm an ordinary man
But I feel like I could do anything in the world
When I look at you, girl

Verse:

Just look at you, girl
Walkin' here beside me
Misty morning light
I see my own reflection in your eyes
And just smile at me, girl
With eyes that tell a story
That words can never say tellin' me your love is gonna stay
And we're standin' right together now
In everything we do
And if my world should come apart
I'll still be lovin' you

now toss in some fiery,
sizzling bad-ass attitude and the smoking-hot, quick draw mouth of Doc holiday to even out the recipe

I'm your huckleberry...

It appears my hypocrisy knows no bounds.

Nonsense, I have not yet begun to defile myself.

Why Ed does this mean we're not friends anymore? You know Ed, if I thought you weren't my friend... I just don't think I could bear it!

Oh, make no mistake. It's not revenge he's after. It's a reckoning.

It's true, you are a good woman. Then again, you may be the antichrist.

Why Kate, you're not wearing a bustle. How lewd.

Yes, but there's just something about him. Something around the eyes, I don't know, reminds me of... me. No. I'm sure of it, I hate him.

Maybe poker's just not your game, Ike. I know: let's have a spelling contest.

rosalee

Since my drug of choice is cowboy, you won't be getting the same elaborate detail as you did with Harlan. Sorry!
now in the book she has a different hair cut and skin tone but you get the idea
(a sexy little red-head with that girl next-door vibe but still girly and feminine)

5 little bookworms!!!!!

Let's start of by saying that I saw this book on, of course, the top 100 free kindle best sellers list. I got it a while back when it started jumping up on the list. Looked okay from the description, nothing to die for, or so I thought. The main reason I did get this book was because of it's high rating. I don't know what it is know, but at the time it had a bunch of reviews and it was 5 stars. That's like unheard of to have that many reviews and them all be 5 stars. So, I took a chance yesterday when I saw that it moved over to the top 100 kindle best sellers list (paid version) and decided I needed to find out what was so amazing about this book. Thank goodness that I did because wow! just wow! it was that good. It was beyond good! I still can't get over how good it was to be honest with you.

I have been on another one of those long, endless strings of bad books and felt like giving up for a while. Thankfully, I joined the bandwagon and got to reading this one. I has jump started my back into 'I must read ever waking moment' trend and I love it for that. Sometimes you just get a bad batch of books, I'll get to those next, but it only takes one to change it all around.

Reason #1  - this book is mature young adult (thank you sex scenes!)
Reason #2 - a strong female lead (granted she is down but she certainly isn't out or whinny!)
Reason #3 - ANDREW PARRISH! *swoon worthy*
Reason #4 - No Drama! No Love Triangle! No annoyingly unrealistic fantasy boys fighting over an over the top little spoiled princess who doesnt deserve two amazing hotties fighting over her. Fiction or not, I need realistic!
Reason #5 - The last few chapters you will cry. You will cry so hard that you can't even see the sentences any longer because your tears are getting in the way. You will cry so much that you have to stop and wipe them away because they are falling at a pace that is dramatic for being too emotional invested in a book and their characters. You will check the page number/percentage of how much is left at least 30 times in the last few chapters because you are so sad that you can't possible have the book end by ripping your heart out like this. You will curse the author for daring to bring you down this emotional road and scare you to death thinking the ending is going to kill you because there isn't possibly enough book left to fix this tear-jerking ending.

NOW GO GET IT AND READ IT AND TELL ME IF YOU FEEL THE SAME WAY!!! I PROMISE YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!

4 little bookworms

Vampires do not care about the myths people believe. They feed on humans, walk in the daylight, and no, they certainly do not sparkle. The only problem is, they don't usually fall in love with their food, either. But David Knight is about to discover that love knows nothing of morals or laws.

When Ara-Rose learns the truth about her boyfriend, David, she will be forced into a world of death and secrecy. Living each day on a path lit by predictability, Ara had never imagined such nightmares could exist. Now, her fate is measured by a choice between eternal love and a normal life, a decision she only has until the end of the summer to make.

Book II in the Dark Secrets series.

"Deeply integrated series. You need to read Tears of the Broken before reading this one."

Love was only the beginning of her nightmares.

When Ara discovered the existence of vampires, she was given the choice between a life as one of them, or a life without her true love.

But fate has a funny way of making choices for you.

After breaking the heart of the boy she loves with a truth he cannot bear, Ara will find herself in the arms of a predator who will steal her innocence and force the hand of fate.

Will David Knight become her rescuer once again, or will he be too late?

couldn't finish

Death never leaves us. Once it's touched our souls, it hungers for our return--waiting for us to fall. And if it finds Ara again, she will have no way to escape.

Moving on from David was hard, forgetting the abduction and torture was almost impossible, but nothing as devastating as the thought that now, because of her, David might face the horrific punishments of the Set.

No one knows where David went after he lost Ara, but she can only hope he's the one leaving subtle clues for her to discover, and it makes her desperate to find him--desperate enough that she would risk her life, hanging out with an informant who means to kill her. What truths she is told about David's dark past, though, will threaten to change her heart and destroy the way Ara perceives everything. She must ask herself if it's right to love one monster, then hate the one who tried to destroy her.

In all her searching, the promise of immortality will finally be renewed, but sold at a price Ara's not sure she's willing to pay.

Is love enough to make her submit to this new role, or will it fail her once again and leave her reaching back for the grasp of death?
Let's start with book #1 then move to #2 & #3...

Book #1 - The Australian writing style was different. If you read it you will understand what I am talking about. Just certain things they say are so different from how we would say it. Sometimes it cute then other times it's really annoying. It's one thing to have an Aussie say something Australian but it's another to have the American say something Aussie.

Okay... so this first book really got me hooked! I love me some vampires and really, who doesn't love the love triangle thing? Granted, it can be annoying at times but you know you go crazy wondering who they will end up with. Keeps ya on your toes :D So this book did just that. The girl is rather irritating but she has her reasons so I let it slide.

Book #2 - Bought it because book #1 left me dying to know who she was going to pick and what she was going to do. Hmmm... that's all I will say for those of you that do intend to read this on. Let's just say that at some point you need to pick one and stick with it. Because really, what guy is going to put up with your annoying crap, not get sex in return, and have to fight for you. Seriously? Only in a book could that ever happen. By the end of this one I was sick and tired of her 'poor poor pitiful little me' routine. I can only take so much of that crap before I want to slap the character myself.

Book #3 - I didn't get far. I couldn't make myself because I was basically rereading books 1 & 2 over and over again. Nothing new happens. Nothing exciting happens. It's still the same annoying little brat crying over everything that's so horrible in her life while stringing along two guys who are obviously brain dead. Needless to say, I put this book down and moved on to bigger and better things. My life is boring, dull, and I like whine over my own overly dramatic little not-so-exciting life. I can't deal with your crap along with it. I read to escape the my normal life and you are just making me depressed more. Time to just cut my losses and remember you for the first book and try to forget the rest.

Verloren and Ash become more and more terrified as they grope their way toward the ultimate truth: that they hold the key to something much larger than their own survival.

no little bookworm rating bc i just couldn't finish it

This has been on my kindle forever and I finally decided to give it a whirl. Well, I didn't get very far before getting really board. I wanted to like it but it was not the book for me.

Reason #1 - Vampires! I love vampires and I selfishly love them a certain way. I do not like my vampires to be some gothic freak with pale skin (albino) that sports green & black hair. If you aren't a hot vampire (by my ridiculously high standards) then I just can't be invested in your story.

Reason #2 - When you are a girl living in the middle of no where and you discover someone lurking around in your backyard, you do not invite them in (especially if they look like said vampire ^^) after only meeting them earlier that day/week or whatever. This is when I want to stop the book and rewrite the scene to make her run up the stairs wearing a see-through & no bra (classic, i know right?) top bouncing like a giddy little school girl when the guy with the axe is slowly tailing you with every intent on slicing you into pieces. Why you might ask??? One: I'm just morbid like that :D Two: You are seriously a dumb bitch that needs to be killed before you can reproduce more idiot offspring like yourself. Hence why I stopped reading the book and decided to move on because it wasn't going to get any better.

no little bookworm rating bc i couldn't finish this one either

Here we go again... I did get like 80% through this one before I gave up. It started out good. It got weird. Then it got really, really weird. Then it just took a crazy ass left turn straight to crazyville! And I happen to enjoy the random little visits to crazyville but this one like the bad part of town crazyville that you don't venture into alone, in the dark without being a drug dealer, hooker, or just in general being a complete freak with a death wish. There I said it... this book was ten times crazy the level of weird that I am into.

Reason #1 - The girl needs to eat! The book makes her sound like a half-starved little bag of bones!
Reason #2 - Popular guys who are jerks don't randomly turn into swoon-worthy lovers over night especially if you are a sack of bones.
Reason #3 - The extensive pot use early on in the book should have hinted towards something that I just wasn't even prepared for but stumbled into and feel like a complete idiot for not seeing all the warning signs leading up to it.
Reason #4 - Any book that has extensive drug use, random and creepy sex scenes, and holy-rollers should be listed with a warning label for gullible people like me.
Reason #5 - Teenagers with the insight to take over the world because this town has obviously been drinking contaminated water and every time I turn a page someone new has a super power. Hmm... did I mention creepy teens trying to use religion and sex to overtake the population?

If theses few reasons don't scare you then please, by all means, read this book and tell me that I was wrong. I can't be the best judge since I didn't finish it but I read enough to know that I wasted too much of my time on it. Creepy!

When an innocent mistake gives her the chance to be a prostitute for the night, she jumps at the chance: and nothing will ever be the same again.

Erica enters into a world of limos, mansions and private jets, partying in LA and shopping for designer clothes. But as her adventures continue, can she find a way to balance her adventures with work, life... even love? Or are her two lives destined to collide... with disastrous consequences.

Here's an extract from part one (remember you're getting all four parts). The extract and the stories themselves are for adults only.

The water shut off in the bathroom. The swish of a towel as he dried himself. He was in a hurry: he wanted me.

The bathroom door opened and he emerged, hair damp, a towel around his waist. I was right about the body: his chest was still nicely defined, his stomach firm. A three times a week in the gym man. As he walked towards me, I noticed there was a full-length mirror behind him. I watched myself as I stepped forwards to meet him, looking into my own eyes. I'm 5'6 without the heels, most of that in my legs. Many years ago, I used to dance, thighs flexing and stretching as I moved through arabesques and pirouettes. I was never suited to it: my hips too full, my breasts too big. But I got to keep those long, elegant legs.

'Did you wear them?' the smile as much in his voice as on his face.
I lowered my eyes demurely and place one foot slightly in front of the other, one hand flat against each hip. Then I slowly slid the green dress up, over black silk stocking that glistened over every curve of the smooth, pale flesh beneath. The thick black glossy band of the stocking top rose into view, the metal suspender clips shining and glinting. The dark elastic of the straps sliced down each creamy-white thigh, emphasising their paleness. I stopped there. His eyes were locked on my legs. I had him. When he finally glanced upwards, I gathered my hair in one hand, exposing my neck.

'Could you...?' I asked, with a hint of shyness, and then turned my back to him so that he could see the offered zip. He stepped forward: close enough that I could feel the heat coming off his body. The zip inched down, the rasp of it the only sound in the room. The dress loosened, the zip finishing at the small of my back. A sharp intake of breath, and I knew he'd just glanced down at the backs of my legs and seen the seam running vertically up each leg. Men are nothing if not predictable.

I released my hair and gently stepped away, the hair sweeping down my back as the dress slid from my body. I stepped out of it and stood with my back to him for a second, relishing the moment. He could see the strap of my bra, the back of my suspender belt. My naked bum: he knew I wasn't wearing any knickers. The stockings and heels stayed on, and would do for the evening unless he asked me to remove them. He wouldn't.

There was a black leather armchair in front of me. Very slowly, I turned around, the low light of the room making the naked skin above the stockings gleam, milky-white smoothness against glossy black silk. And between my thighs, framed by the black of the suspender belt, was a neatly-trimmed strip of bright auburn hair. The proof, if you will, that I'm a genuine redhead.

once again... couldn't finish it

I think I got the first novella free on amazon. It was enjoyable so I was suckered into buying the complete set. It said it would save me money so of course I wasted like $8 on this crap only to find out that I got screwed out of $8 that could have bought me a coffee at Starbucks. The girl is just a freak! Plain and simple! But she isn't the type of freak I want to read 85,000 words about. Maybe the short little novella, but after that it was just wasteful. I know I sound harsh, but I am just being honest with you. Please feel free to check this one out and prove me wrong. Strange. Let's just leave it at that... strange!
